First Day of School for Monty
The first day of school went pretty much as expected! We ran late getting Monty there early like we wanted but he WAS right on time (we're ALWAYS late).
We pulled up to the Valet drop off and he quickly jumped out, shouted goodbye and didn't look back once! He's been excited for school ever since we went to see his school in MAY. He has talked about it every. single. day. He has practiced "school" working on whatever we decide to call school that day. Learning colors, shapes, animals, flags, presidents, states, phonics, letters, numbers, vehicles, landmarks, sports, reading, writing, and nature learning, pretty much you name it we've done it. Honestly we were running out of steam and out of lessons.
He picked out his clothes and shoes and asked me to do his hair. We had a pep talk on the way and he could hardly contain his excitement. Letting out little, "EEEEEE'S" the whole way there.
As soon as Monty hopped out of the car Rosie was devastated saying, "Where's Monty?!?"
I was late picking him up, like an ALLSTAR mom and he had to wait in a room with the other dejected children. Just kidding. They didn't care. As we walked to the car he said, "Mom, I peed my pants a little, But it's alright, that's just what us boys do!" He gave me a little insight into his day, but kept me in the dark about most of it, I know this because when he saw Dane that night, apparently Dane asked the right questions because he got a LOT more info than I did.
Needless to say Monty loved his time at school and can't wait to go back. And Rosie and me didn't mind our time just us girls either, but we were excited to have our entertainment back.
I made up this little questionnaire with questions I wanted Monty to answer and some of his answers are pretty incredible. As far as design just wanted to keep it pretty simple. No fluff for us. But If you want to use it for yourself I have uploaded it here for you!
